Fifth Sunday after Pentecost<\/p>\n
On the day when our Holy Orthodox Church celebrates the Council of the Holy Apostles, Blessed Peter the Prince, the Holy Martyrs of the Children who suffered in the Jastrebarsko concentration camp and the Holy Children of the Martyrs of Sisak, on July 13, 2025, with the blessing of His Holiness the Bishop of London and Great Britain and Ireland, the Holy Divine Liturgy was served in our parish church in Halifax.<\/p>\n
The Liturgy was served by Archpriest Stavrophor Aleksandar Ili\u0107 with the church choir responding and singing. After the Holy Liturgy, a service and a love feast were held for all present. After the Holy Liturgy, two baptisms were performed by Father Alexander and Father Branimir. Our parish and the Holy Orthodox Church became richer for two new members of the Body of Christ. May the newly baptized have a happy baptism and may they always walk with the Lord in their lives, be an honour to their family and the pride of their church.<\/p>\n
The activities of our folklore society and their progress are becoming more frequent. This time, on the occasion of the celebration of the temple in Darby, they visited and performed, presenting their parish and their folklore group in a dignified manner. Our hardworking children in this way testify to the connection between these two parishes and the love for their family and traditions.<\/p>\n
May the Lord bless them and strengthen them to continue their work to preserve tradition and love. A new group for beginners will begin in September of this year.
